Electronic Communication May Be Unsafe

Phone (Not Email) is the Safest Way to Contact Us

Communication over the Internet, including email, is not secure because third parties can view and store confidential information. Therefore, Counseling and Psychological Services does not provide psychological counseling of any kind over the Internet or send confidential information through email.

We cannot ensure that email sent to us will be received or responded to promptly. If clients want to reach the Counseling and Psychological Services during normal business hours, you may visit the center located at Health Service Building (formerly Veitch Student Center), North Wing, M, T, W, F from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and TH from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or call (951) 827-5531, option 2. After hours, counselors are also available 24 hours by phone (951) 827-5531, option 1 or 951-UCR -TALK.

In case of any other emergency, please contact Campus Police at (951) 827-5222 or call 9-1-1.

Non-clinical client communications, such as scheduling appointments, may occasionally be conducted over email at the clients' discretion. Clients will give the appropriate consent to be contacted by email when completing their initial paperwork.
