Education and Training

Additionally, the Counseling Center provides limited vocational testing and counseling to UCR students. Vocational testing helps to assess what people do well, what their interests are, and what may lead them to long-term satisfaction in their career path. For graduate students completing their doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology, we offer a comprehensive predoctoral internship-training program in counseling psychology in a university setting. 

For undergraduate students interested in the field of psychology and wanting hands-on experience in psychology and counseling services, we provide the opportunity to participate as a Biofeedback Technician or as a StressBusters Peer Educator.  

The Counseling Center also provides a service to UCR students and local residents by serving as a national test center, supervising the administration of national and state qualifying examinations such as the LSAT, PRAXIS, and MAT.
